Cette technologie transforme le dioxyde de carbone entre ses \u00e9tats gazeux et liquide, en stockant l\u2019\u00e9nergie sous forme de chaleur et de pression. Lors de la charge, le CO\u2082 est comprim\u00e9 et liqu\u00e9fi\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9nergie thermique g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e est conserv\u00e9e dans un syst\u00e8me de stockage. Lors de la d\u00e9charge, le CO\u2082 liquide est chauff\u00e9, retransform\u00e9 en gaz, et alimente une turbine qui produit de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.
